Today I’m re-creating Christmas ~ not all of it, just some of it. And of course, this is all do-able and maybe it’s just something I’m moving toward.
* Christmas would NOT be about BUYING presents.
* There would be NO COMMERCIALS about THINGS to get for Christmas.
* Everyone would celebrate the TRUE meaning of Christmas (which in my opinion would be celebrating an individual who didn’t come here to SAVE us, but who came here to DEMONSTRATE our OWN potential ~ and everyone would start living up to that potential AND MORE!)
* Everyone would SHARE their own gifts and talents with their friends and families.
* Gifts would be homemade or consumable and everything would be beneficial to the earth.
* Families and friends would get together for big meals and talent shows!
* Everyone would carry the Christmas spirit of LOVE and GOOD CHEER all year round!
Wouldn’t that be BEAUTIFUL????
*****************************************************************
That’s my MAGIC! What’s yours? Post in comments below and Re-Create with me if you wish! I love you!

Couldn’t agree more!
I would have the emphasis be on the spirit (joy, giving and peace) an not the material aspects. You can give of yourself without having to consume.
We would explore the message of Jesus, even if it’s in a non-religious format. Either way he was an interesting dude with a lot of good things to say. And I do think that saving us does refer to exactly what you say-unlocking potential!
I agree totally about the homemade gifts! AND the meals and talent shows! LOL!
I would love for everyone to carry the spirit of love and good cheer (isn’t that the point? ) all year long…but I’ll keep the twinkly lights for this special time!
I’m joining along with your visions of Christmas!
Today I am going to recreate sustainable local economies. Big box stores’ businesses slow down and people always shop locally first. Money stays within the community. People can find what they need within walking distance or a short drive of their home. Everything is affordable and since people are putting so much money back into local business, employees are paid incredibly well.
Every neighborhood (that welcomes it) has a local used/new bookstore, restaurants, coffee shop, smoothie/juice bar, creative gift store, yarn store, food co-op and farmer’s market, art studios/galleries, music and dance instruction/venues, craft supply store, bakery, toy store and organic clothing and goods shop. All would be locally owned and child friendly!
Downtowns would once again be a place where you just run into friends and grab a bite to eat or some tea on the fly. Everything is so easy and accessible!
Also, each town has a system in place to support bartering and trading. Everyone has a gift to offer and it’s wonderful to help one another and get something in exchange!

UNTIL THEN…
Learn about the 3/50 Project, which encourages everyone to choose 3 local businesses that you would see sad to go out of business. Then choose an amount to spend per month (like $50, or whatever feels good to you) and commit yourself to spend that amount per month between the 3 businesses! Spread the word! When it comes to local economies, we truly CAN make a difference!
I love everyone’s visions! Imagine! What wonderful thoughts to think about as I head out to do some last minute Christmas errands at local stores
I’m going to recreate Christmas and this time it’s all about the food and cooks.
*The Christmas cooking is a community effort and joy and love in the kitchen. The Christmas kitchen is full of joyful bustle, spontaneous caroling and wonderful smells. If you never cook you want to learn how because the kitchen is where the party is! The cooks feel gratified in their offerings to their community and family and rather than feeling spent, they feel more energized because they see the fruits of their labor.
*The food bought for Christmas dinner and parties is mostly from local sources and most definitely from ethically produced sources. Turkeys and pigs are free-range, potatoes are local, stuffing is made from left over hand-made artisan bread. The farmers and artisans are well supported and sit down to their own meals feeling so lucky to have a community who supports them so well.
*The local economics stay strong due to this commitment to buy local and quality and people have *MORE* because of it. Children wake up feeling abundant and parents feel calm and relaxed–not having to worry about anything, but rather enjoying the abundance in their communities.
*Nobody worries about weight gain at Christmas because all the ingredients are whole and healthy. Even the treats filled with butter and cream are from organic, whole sources. People enjoy the decadence and feel good about enjoying such treats. Their body responds to the wholesome foods wonderfully and knows exactly how handle extra treats. People leave the holiday season feeling full and happy and healthy and sexy. We celebrate our fullness as an natural part of the ebb and flow of seasons.
OMG…I’m swooooning!!!!!!!!!!!!
And MORE Magic ~ today as I went to my (local) market there was a Santa Claus greeting people at the door ~ not asking for $, donations, or anything. Just saying “HO-HO-HO! MERRY CHRISTMAS!” We had a special bond ~made me wish I was wearing my wings.
You said it sisters!!!
Recreating Christmas…
*Everyone suddenly finds that “Christmas Spirit” is from within and not from anything materialistic or even tangible. It’s etherial and follows you around all year long.
*Gifts come in many forms not just in the shape of boxes, bags, and baskets topped with a ribbon or tied with sting. It’s a kind word, a smile, a compliment, a helping hand, hellos and good byes to strangers, opening up what is usually guarded to share, perpetuating our blessings. Gratitude in all things that are good and wholesome.
* That a collective consciousness will slow down the time and just bask in this loveliness. No rivers being pushed, no self set obligations… Just flow! everyone practicing intuition listening to their heart and doing out of love authenticity. Remembering that happiness is not gained from success but that Suceess! is gained from happiness.
and that…
*** Christmas is LOVE ***
The world could be a winter wonderland with deer and rabbits and seahorses that live in the snow… and dinosaurs, of course.
I love Elenore! (She’s 6 years old!) One of Finn’s favorite friends.
So beautiful everyone! I LOVE it! Thank you for the fabulous imagery!!!
I’m just feeling so appreciative of all these posts and MEM too! Thank you to Kate and everyone who comes here. The energy feels so good
I’m not sure if this was mentioned, but I’m so enjoying all the sparkling lights everywhere, and I thought, wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone who wanted to could put up sparkling lights and we could power them with just our loving energy? I feel like we all glow from within this time of year, wouldn’t it be cool to decorate our homes with that energy? I think it would be so cool if we all had lights that didn’t use up electricity, but instead were totally people powered!
Leah, I LOVE this idea! In the meantime, my garden is all a-lit in the summer with solar lights! I love it.
Loving everyone’s ideas and visions and recreations!
Magical things:
*Feeling oh-so-abundant when I spontaneously bought myself a taylored dress for $120 (it was originally $185)…simply because I saw it and I knew I MUST have it…it was MADE for ME…lol…and I had the money…and I will have many opportunities to wear this dress! (but shhh…some people might lecture me about this…LOL)
*A dear friend will be here (“on-island” as we say here on Guam) tomorrow!
*A birthday party for said friend’s dad tonight (Lol kinda strange she wont be here yet, but thats not stopping the party!)
*Giving someone a free meal today at the store. =) Simply because it felt good to do so.
*Looking for and Seeing the good in people!
*New clothes! I’ve been wanting clothes for so long over the last couple years, but never felt I could spend on clothes, now I’ve got the means…and I’m DOING it! And it feels so good to express myself through clothing…it is an art form for me! =) I’m starting simple (well…though there’s the dress I mentioned above…lol) with classy pieces easy to mix & match.
Recreating currency!
I am loving the image of a world where currency is not limited to paper money, stocks, etc… but where we can exchange acts of kindness, trades of talent or services, and trust that there is balance in the universe to take care of any “awkwardness” in any “transaction”. To trust that when one trade seems unfair, a future one will more than balance it out.
Where I can walk in to a friends business, leave with exactly what I need (food, service, etc) (even if I didn’t have any paper/plastic money with me) knowing that I can pay in many forms. I can pass on my own service to someone else who needs it, I can return a favor to said friend/business…
We can still HAVE paper money and the like as a simple option, but it is not required to make a transaction for what you need! People trust that trades will be returned, either by that person, or by another generous person who comes along and pays more than his/her fair share.
*SIGH* I LOVE the beautiful world on this page!
