The Flower Faerie!
Exhausted Magic…
I’m so tired that some things that may not generally make it onto a magic list are appearing here today!
*comfy pants that can double as pajamas when I’m conked on the couch.
*a quiet house.
*a dishwasher that just finished cleaning all the dirty dishes.
*a morning to myself with all the kiddos off at their respective activities.
*the bookshelves. They really make me happy and nourish my soul-so colorful and laid out perfectly. A feast for the eyes from the comfort of my couch.
*pillows. oh how I love a sea of pillow across which I may drape myself.
*warm, clean blankets that smell wonderful and feel delightful.
*my glasses! I just recovered them and they will help me read in my current state of exhaustion.
*the ability to take a nap if I so choose! I won’t-but that’s not the point…I can!
*twilight…that space where you are kind of lucid dreaming in which your mind just wanders….a powerful place from which to create!
*an easy day.
*tomorrow is Dr. Suess day at the kiddos school and they get to wear pajamas all day-that makes me giggle.

hm, what’s with all the exhausted energy out there? me too, sign me up for that nap you won’t be taking. I’ll take mine AND yours!
* kids willing to come to the library after our homeschool coop — and walking out happy each with a stack of books. I love that they share my library addiction!
* girls movie night spent on the couch snuggling with my own personal fairy tittering at Ice Age Dawn of the Dinos, which is hilarious
* interrupted movie by raucous giggling from my son and he and his dad made muesli in the kitchen
* another delicious raw food class today — more teens joined!
* going to bed at 3am instead of 4 or 5. baby steps.
Oohh, I’m all about taking baby steps!! Hubby and I were talking about them just this morning, and, in fact, they were going to be part of my Everyday Magic, too!
Too strange! Exhausted is *exactly* the word I’ve been using the last couple days – it’s beyond tired, it’s deeper, like my body knows something and is forcing myself to slow down and relax. And while there are a million things that I can appreciate from this energy (warm tea, daydreaming, knitting, cuddly blankets), my magic today is something different…IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!!!
So here are some things I love about myself! lol
*I have had great relationships with almost everyone I have ever met in my life. I genuinely get along with people.
*I am an awesome mom.
*I am supportive of my husband in everything he does.
*I am very close with my mom, dad and in-laws.
*When a server at a restaurant asks how I’m doing, I answer them, then ask them how they’re doing. You’d be shocked at the number of servers who smile and say no one ever asks them that.
*I can figure out how to make almost anything by looking at it, and lots of trial and error. (and I have the patience to stick with it)
*I inspire people.
*I am incredibly comfortable outdoors.
*I am a fabulous manifestor.
*I have curves.
*My intuition is very strong and I trust it.
*I surround myself with positive people.
*I have moved close to 50 times in my life and adapt easily. I am a gypsy at heart and reinvent myself each place I go to develop other parts of who I am.
*I communicate with faeries.
*I have a nice balance of planning and spontaneity, organized and free, artistic and structured.
*I constantly stive to live an authentic, love-filled life and make the world a better place.

* I found a sitter for the talk I want to go to tonight! (It’s about Nature, Healing, and Children and it’s 3 minutes away from my house!)

* A fun day planned with my little boys!
* AMAZING correspondence with an Aussie breeder who is a DEFINITE kindred spirit!
*I had a great date with hubs last night too, and we got to see the Magic win big!
*Hubs and I also continue to have really great deep conversations lately. I so need this after long days with two young children.
*Thursday mornings are our do nothing morning!
*Nothing better on a cold morning than a hot cup of tea with honey in it.
*Congratulate me because I’ve made it a full week being 100% vegetarian. No more chicken or fish….and soon getting rid of dairy too! So happy!

March Magic
I think all this exhausted magic has to do with lack of sunlight. At least in Connecticut, we haven’t had much for over a week. Fairies need sun! I’ve been using a liquid vitamin d to keep my spirits up, but nothing substitutes the sun.
I was in a grumpy mood today and didn’t even feel like posting my magic because as far as I could see I wasn’t going to have any today. I have always disliked March. It is brown and ugly and not really warm enough to write home about. I love the snow and I love the summer and never enjoyed the in between
So when I took a walk with my dog, Coco, today I decided I was going to find some magic in March if it killed me!
*March will be my wedding month (next year, that is)
* The air in March sometimes has that beautiful spring smell that I can’t describe but have always loved since I was little. A definite harbinger of official spring.
*St. Patrick’s Day
*The weather is forecasted to be sunny and in the 50′s this weekend, which will be very enjoyable.
*Being able to start wearing some short sleeved shirts to work and being comfortable.
Oh dear…..that wasn’t much March magic, but it’s all I can come up with right now.

My wonderful friend, Earl, who can tell a story like nobody else I know, and has a BEAUTIFUL voice with which to tell his stories!! I could listen to him all day!!
Hubby and I discussing our goals and trying to remember that baby steps are OK!!
The sunlight streaming through each window in the house as it passes across the sky, and watching my dog follow (and then lay down in) each “square of sun” on the floor! So Funny!!

I have a hard time with baby-steps too! I’d rather take HUGE, GIGANTIC, QUANTUM LEAPS!!!!
So strange, b/c I’ve been feeling really tired too! Last night, I whipped up an easy dinner and then put on a Lemony Snicket book cd and got my own book out and read while the kids listened/played. Very nice.
*today’s Thursday, Survivor night! Hubby’s home, so it’s a night we can all eat dinner together.
*we’re making glitter playdough tonight for sure. it was going to be last night, but way too tired by the time I got home.
*dagoba spicy hot mexican chocolate in my coffee!
*getting a cool new assignment at work, i’m loving all my new projects!
*made an appt to start the nutritional healing program, i’m going to feel so good!!!
You eat the MOST exotic foods, Leah! Seriously!
i should send you some of this hot chocolate kate, it’s inspired really. so so good!
fun at the beach today with my boys and puppy who just loved it all.
being challenged even though it is murkey I know it is a great opportunity and try to keep that in the forward of my mind!
Hearing from so many others that I am feeling like they are feeling and having relief in that there is an obvious universal type shift possibly occuring.
Well here on Guam we’ve got oooooodles of sun LOL so thats not quite it for me. Maybe its just because we’re heading toward the new moon, and this where we rest, refine, and prepare for REJUVENATION!!!
More magic for me:
*The boys and I are picking up Robby at the airport tonight!!! We are so excited! I’m going to pick up a “we make, you cook” pizza from Mama Tita’s for dinner!
*I made the most delicious and filling smoothie this morning with a variety of fruits/berries, water, Alive liquid supp., coconut oil, ground chia seed, whey protein, peanut butter, and frozen yogurt!!!!
*Helping a friend on his journey toward feel-good food/fitness and healthy living!
*My exhaustion being hidden a bit by my excitement!!!!! (But beware, I could spontaneously collapse at any moment, lol)
*Here on Guam, its FRIDAY!!!! Whew!! And Friday is lookin great everyone, just in case you were curious…LOL
