The Costume Party after Trash-Pick-Up!
Consider Essex “Sparkled!”

What a MAGICAL TIME “Sparkling Essex Day” turned out to be! Thank you to EVERYONE who supported this venture and to all the Fairies and Heroes who participated! Together, I believe, we really have made a BIG difference!
Here are some of my highlights:
* Going down our hill with my family and picking up a FULL bag of garbage! Our road feels cleansed now!
* Little Clara who stuck to my side the whole time (and learning that she and her father went on a drive through Essex after I was in the paper last fall hoping to catch a Fairy-glimpse!)
* Hearing from Hal, one of our guitar players, that Batman and Superman were picking up garbage on his street ~ and then the opportunity to give these superheroes balloons!
* Watching my Finn make a new friend with Frannie-the-Fairy!
* Watching the Fairies and Superheroes flit in and out of the trees and bushes ~ this sincerely was magical!
* All the beautiful sidewalk art done by the children!
* The wonderful musicians who really knew how to make it a party!
* Ashleigh’s Garden, who had the whole staff blowing up our balloons! Thank you again!
* Meeting Phil, our Town Selectman, who was surprised with the great turnout!
* The gift of a “Sparkle Fairy Action Hero” from sweet Elenore!
* Other mothers in wings!
Two Rainbow Heroes cleaning up River Road Drive!
* My neighbors and long-time-friends, Ed and Judy, coming to the park to support us!
* Giving 3 teen-aged boys balloons with the promise they’d pick up garbage that day ~ and them coming back to show me what they’d picked up!
* The fact that EVERYONE was having such a great time that our party went an hour over!!!
* My wonderful husband who greeted my day with a “HAPPY SPARKLES” sign and a vote of confidence ~ and who also shuttled back and forth transporting 200 balloons!
* The after-party (of just the four of us) with balloons and champagne and a fondue my wonderful hubby made just for me!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHH….(that was sigh of relief and satisfaction….)

Wow! Sparkling Essex Day looks amazing!
My wonderful dh who did the following all before lunch:
*watched the boys while I went to church
*found and old box of legos for some rainy day entertainment
*took my 3yo out for lunch so my 6yo can hang with his friend and I can just chill!!!!!!
That is ONE great hubby!
* Being cheered by all the magic here
* Celebrating babies due date yesterday with her 2 weeks in arms and healthy.
* Gratitude for what ever magic let baby sleep 4 and then 4 hours last night rather then up every hour to nurse.
* Children who sleep in!
* A wonder hubby who helps with so so much.
* My oldest hope pixie loving gymnastics and being great in her show last night.
Oh, your new baby!! It doesn’t get any more magical than that! Congrats, Kimberly!
*A setback today that I am trying to make the best out of. At least I get a little rest today
*Taking a great walk with Coco
*Going out to till my garden in preparation for planting veggies next weekend
*Rhubarb growing abundantly in the garden. I don’t like it much, but I love giving it to people who do
(((HUGS))) for your setback. I’m sure all will be better soon.

*my in-laws in town to help with kids, take us out to dinner and the new stroller I got as a gift! woot!
*the gorgeous weather: warm and sunny with a pleasant breeze!
*pre-natal yoga to look forward to later this afternoon
*homevisit with my birth team this week!
The homevisit ~ so very telling of the last stages! I can’t help but be giddy for you!!!!

~Finishing my knitted artichoke!

I feel so lucky to live in such a nice community that has the Sparkle Fairy to cheer us on and encourage us as we keep litter off the streets and work towards a lot of good things. That our people can share in the infectious enthusiasm and community mindedness is a gift.
