It all started one year ago today! I dug up the very first post and it was so wonderful to see many of the same names that are still posting today! In honor of our anniversary, I’m naming all the things I’m grateful for in the past year!
A Year of Gratitude
* I’m grateful for all the Fairies who’ve joined me on this magical journey! Thank you so much!
* I’m grateful that My Everyday Magic birthed The Grandpa Fairy and has given my relationship with my father a whole new dimension.
* I’m grateful for all the posters here and all the magic they share. I’ve read every single word over the past year and it ALWAYS raises my vibe!
* I’m grateful for all the readers who don’t post regularly, but still share their wonderful energy (and you know who you are!)
* I’m grateful for all the Sparkle Missions and the people who’ve joined me in these life-changing practices!
* I’m grateful that this reluctant fairy found the courage to become The Sparkle Fairy! And I’m grateful that I still have the courage to do this one year later even though it is STILL out of my comfort zone!
* I’m sooooooo grateful for how the CT Shoreline has embraced their resident Fairy! This has been utterly magical to me!
Thank you, My Everyday Magic Community, for making this one MAGICAL YEAR!! I have a feeling it’s only going to get better and better and better!!!
My Everyday Magic
* Laughing at myself because as I’m writing all this “gratitude” I’m also snapping at my children “don’t bother me, I’m busy!” (I’m thinking Sparkle Mission #5 will have to do with “Imperfect Parenting”!) 
* Taking deep breaths and knowing I’ll get all that I need to get done today…and reminding myself to do this anytime I start to feel rushed, stressed, and impatient…..like NOW! (Inhaling….exhaling….repeating…)
* I’m grateful for my dust buster and Bounty paper towels that helped me clean up the grape juice and cheerios that got spilled all over the floor while I was writing all this!
* Today is Field Trip day for Papa and Boys so I can run my errands by myself AND think at the same time!
* I have a date with my dearest beloved tonight!
* Stretching myself and giving away $100 today always knowing that the Universe brings it back to me!!
* The Butterfly Faery is coming to stay with me tomorrow (and I KNOW I’ll find time to clean her room between all the spills, errands, and deep-breathing! )
* A Very-Fairy-Friday in two days!!!! I have 10 Mama-Fairies and 20+ Children helping me spread the magic down Main Street Essex!!! Whoo-hoo!!

How wonderful, a year of magic!!! I’m so grateful for how you have helped me find my magic too, even on days that it really took work. And the last 10 months since dh’s injury have had lots of days that it took work, but it’s beautiful to have something good to stretch for!
Today’s magic
*having the flex plan check pay off all the medical bills. So we go into the new insurance situation on good terms all around. And since some we had already paid, there is a bit left to cover other things too
*Nia is nearly potty trained! She always knows when she needs to go (unless extremely distracted). Now to get her to move on from thinking laundry piles, clean sheets, or the shower are the place to pee *eye roll* lol
*Moving things in our living room. It is going to be so much more open. And will have room for the couch we are eying. Currently we have 6 of us, and share one small couch, the one we want is a sectional, twice the space so we can actually all sit together
*lovely weather today!
*seeing how Nia is just so smart. Like how she can think of problem solving. No other kid here would think dead batteries means to climb over furniture and onto the microwave stand to get new ones. Not what I want her to do, but really trying to reframe it
Yay for little-toddler LOVE!
Happy Birthday MEM! I have been reading on and off all year, but recently started posting. I must say it has very quickly brought the feeling of magic back in to my life. So, thank you to all of the faries that have made that happen!
MEM-
Jumping up and immediately making the bed and folding the laundry. Going downstairs and sorting through papers. All of this was done before the coffee was ready!
My resume is off to a dream job and I really feel great about the possibility. YAY!
My house is really clean today!
Knowing that I can help my neighbors in their time of need.

Wow a year already, MEM has definately helped inspire me to look for the magic in everything especially on those days which at first seemed less than magical! Here is to many more magical years!

You’ve brought so much joy, magic and help reframe so many challenges over this year that I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude! Even when life interfere and I can’t get on here, the energy of this appreciative movement you have created is with me, IN me.
MEM and it’s faeries are always part of my own everyday magic!!!
This one magic is surpassing anything I could think of:
- since my kidneys are acting up, I’m overjoyed for my FE’s remedy that is allowing me to stay at home, cosy instead of being tied to an IV, sedated on an ER’s stretcher! Thanks to the Flower Faery for her great intuition and her magical touch!
Valerie, you’re always so poetic, my French-Beauty! And yay for The Flower Faerie’s genius!!

I found a way to make things workout to pay for things when I thought there was no way it would!
Reconnecting with my dear friend Jean, spent time together and we are going to the movies together on Friday.
Starting a new job next week and know it will take some of the pressure off of myself and my wonderful husband!

Congratulations to MEM! MEM has really change my life. I actually PHYSICALLY feel better than when I first started posting.
I am thankful for my husband’s job security. He went from having no job earlier this year to having four job offers!
I am thankful for how my boys are growing so handsome, smart, and sweet!
I am thankful for all the friendships I have made this year!
I am thankful for how close I have become to my in-laws. I am thankful that we are building the in-law suite together and how it is coming along.
MEM:
Had the best day in the park! Played tag with ds and all his friends. I LOVED IT…it was so exhilarating.
Had the yummiest salad for lunch from some stuff I happened to have in the fridge…way better than anything in a restaurant.
So happy that I finished going through all of our clothes and thanks to the generosity of a friend, we have enough hand me downs that I don’t have to buy any winter clothes for the boys!!
Thankful that I accomplished everything on my (short!) to-do list for today. I already made plans for a playdate tomorrow.

*dd has the reading bug. she wants to catch up with another kid on the library summer reading program board who was 60 books ahead of her. she gathered up everything she read over the week and helped me write out a list of 70 books!!!
*ds says “Play with me?” and I just love it
*leaving the office for a summer park play date with the dd’s kindergarten class in about 20 minutes!

My hard-wood floors gleaming in the sunlight this morning, after being cleaned by me yesterday (on my hands and knees!) I think that’s the only way to clean a floor effectively–does anybody else agree with me on that?
25 years ago!!!! I’m soooo happy the MAGIC brought us back together, my Dear Friend!!!!! I love you!!! (and I think you’re right about the wood-floors…I’ll have to ask my cleaning lady.

My Every Day Magic:
- We are leaving for Kennebunkport today for a weekend of wedding festivities for my wicked cool cousin.
-I am going to see my Uncle Billy for the first time since I was 13! That’s right. We used to have corn on the cob eating races and talk about his crazy adventures climbing all over the world. I cannot wait to give him all of the hugs we have missed over the years.
-I am bringing my boys on a visit to their new school this morning. I am really happy for them that they are embarking on this next phase of their journey with confident and adventurous spirits.
-My husband turned 36 yesterday, We had a great day paddling around looking for bald eagles.
_ I just painted my toenails for the first time in forever and am going to wear mascara today…watch out world!
