My Everyday Magic

THE MORE YOU COME HERE, THE BETTER YOU FEEL!

“Becoming ME” Magic! 2/25/2012 February 25, 2012

ME, Sparkle Fairy!

ANNOUNCEMENT: One of THIS WEEKEND’S posters will win $25 (that’s all I got this week). ;)

Today’s theme is “Becoming ME” because that’s exactly how I’m feeling lately! Just last night I said to my beloved hubby, “I’m becoming the person I’ve always wanted to be.” How WONDERFUL to be able to say such a thing…and believe me, I’ve been working VERY HARD at it. It seems my practice is beginning to pay off…and it’s making life BEAUTIFUL! (And definitely worth CELEBRATING!) ;)

My ME Magic:

* I’ve been noticing that my posture has suddenly and effortlessly improved!! Just this alone is FABULOUS! ;)

* I’m joyfully handling the very early morning wake-ups the past 3 weeks (HELLO, 4:40 a.m.! Nice to see you again!) ;)

* I’m handling my angry 4 year old with playfulness and humor which quickly brings him out of it (usually). ;)

* I’m letting others find their own power by using the art of Non-Interference (and BELIEVE ME, it’s an art!) ;)

* I’ve stopped nagging my hubby about various things! (I don’t even think he’s noticed  because he doesn’t miss it.) ;)

* I’m very quickly shifting out of the negative vibes, even if I have to keep doing it over and over and over. ;)

* I’m balancing my compassion with wisdom! (I’ve learned you can absolutely be TOO compassionate, which can equate to interference.) ;)

Are there ways that you find yourself fully becoming YOU? If so, please share or simply share your Magic. :)

More Magic

* Reading about Conspiracy Theories! This Sparkly Fairy LOVES a good conspiracy theory almost as much as Cheetos!

* Playing a new wii game with my family last night and declaring it my new favorite! (It’s a target shooting one and I’m really good at it. ;) )

* Watching a funny show with my hubby and 7 year old last night and we all laughed, laughed, and laughed!!!

* A pretty good night’s sleep last night which made waking up at 4:40am this morning bearable!

* I did my first T-Tapp workout yesterday ~ it was only 15 minutes and the STRANGEST workout I’ve ever done…and I can’t believe how sore it made me right away, as I felt like I wasn’t doing anything! My interest is definitely piqued!

* It’s Saturday!

* Feeling pretty damn good!

Share with us this Saturday and make us smile! I love you!

    Becoming me:
    * I’ve been trying to eat more intuitively this month and listen to what my body wants. I’ve also started having a spoonful of coconut oil every day. The interesting discovery? My cravings for sweets are nearly gone!
    * I am reading all sorts of interesting things that are stretching my mind.

    Today’s magic:
    * The kids are playing together nicely in the bathtub this morning.
    * Hooray for good coffee!

I love conspiracy theories, too! And I’ve been thinking about trying t-tapp for a while, so it’s good to hear your reaction to it. :)

    • Kate Says:

Rachel, I got motivated to do T-Tapp when I read on FB that one of my friends lost 12 and 1/2 inches in 8 days!! Then her instructor chimed in and said it’s normal for her clients to lose 8-15 inches in the first week!!!

I have to say, I just did my second workout (and it’s only 15 minutes!) and I’m amazed with how much it makes you work, with very little movement. I have a background in fitness, but I’ve never done anything like this…I’m very excited to see where it takes me!

Yay for intuitive eating! I’m right there with you, Sister!

  2. Zanna Says:

Kate, it is so wild that you chose this topic today! I had just written “I feel good. I feel myself.” and on about feeling like I’m not just she who takes care of other people and animals. But myself, with my own interests and activities and dreams and possibilities. So here’s some ME magic:

I am now part of a small women’s art and magic group. Went to my first meeting last night and enjoyed it so very much! I feel inspired!

I have a vision of work I want to do, and (a lot of the time) it even feels possible!

I am feeling increasingly good in my body, lately.

    MEM:

Seeing the stars late last night after a rainy day! I could really see/feel the sky as a turning wheel, and it was wonderful!

Being out in the wild wild wind this morning for a long dog walk!

The joy in my dog as he runs along the trails, and his habit of carrying sticks, some of which are longer than he is!

Excellent music on my favorite radio show, right now. And I’ve got it set up so the online station can play on the dock in the kitchen, which has really good sound.

Waiting for my son to come home from his sleepover… hopefully with his best friend who will, in turn, sleep over here tonight. (2 7yo boys are often easier to deal with than 1!)

    ginger-honey-lemon tea!

  4. Fire Fairy Says:

I’m so glad to be here today. I’ve stopped in during the week but didn’t have (or really take) the time to post. Which was a bummer because all of the posts this week were so great.

Thank you for the inspiration, Kate. I’m doing some workbook stuff created by a really cool woman called Goddess Leonie, and I’m really loving it. Part of it is having a greater appreciation of me.

I love your magic today Kate. What grace to wake up so early, and do it so gently. I am absolutely loving how much you are loving yourself right now.

    My ME magic:
I really rock. I love myself a lot. I enjoy my outlook on life and I really like the roll I play in my family,
I love the work that I’m doing with my business. It’s not a piece of me that I thought was there, and it feels so good to find it.
I’m learning to take more time for myself and truly believe that I deserve it. It’s allowing me to better understand me.

    MEM:
I’m so glad that it is Saturday. This week wasn’t bad, but I feel the need to recover and that’s what I’m doing.
manifesting. I am so excited about this year ahead (Hee hee, yes it is almost the end of February but this workbook/calendar really has me focusing on what I want this year, and it is totally inspiring and fun.
I woke up to my 8 year old dry heaving (but hubby taking care of it). My sweet boy seems to be ok today. We are just hanging out being together, letting our bodies get rid of the sickies.
I’m a sucker for conspiracy theories, too. My response always makes my hubby sigh though. hee hee
Getting more things done — We are collecting books in our storage to either sell or donate. Wooop! Woop! We have a bit of a book pack-rat history.

    • lexa106 Says:

I’ve been the same way sister; these past two weeks I haven’t really taken the time to write much magic but now that I’m here, I feel much better! PS; You DO really rock! :D

  5. Mary Jo Says:

*Despite having my third cold of the winter, which is more than I usually have in one year, I am enjoying the day by catching up on the last 2 epidsodes of Downton Abbey

*Despite not sleeping well lately, I feel pretty energized

*Loving this windy weather even though I am too sick to go out and enjoy it

*My hubby bringing me home the best clam chowder today

*Going to Foodworks today to get the most delicious spicy organic tomato juice. I had such a craving and drank almost the entire bottle! (it’s also perfect with vodka for a bloody mary!!).

Becoming Me: Since venturing out of my comfort zone 3 times this past week, I can’t wait to conquer another challenge I have for myself. I can’t believe the confidence I have after doing things I had considered out of my realm! However, I am going to wait till I feel better :0)

  6. Sabrina Says:

My little having a friend over today which is a nice break for me in a way!
working with a client that is stretching my knowledge and checking in with another in my field and finding out I am doing great!
going raw again next week with a friend!
excited to hear about Sparkle Fairy and T Tapp. I have been looking into that for a bit now and am wanting to try it out but have questions so I am excited to hear about it all from someone I connect with!
Our family is getting along so well and dealing with issues that come up in a much better way than ever. I love growth!!!!!

  7. Oceanbreeze Says:

I’m celebrating ME a lot at the moment :) I love that I am living my life more and more in tune with who I am and I’m almost effortlessly allowing others to do the same! I’m creating, working out, spending time with amazing people and just happy to be me :)

    MEM

  8. Love it! great and inspirational post.
I have been experiencing similar refreshing shifts that mark me Coming into My Own
    * I no longer worry more about what others need, but assert my self and my needs in every moment
    * I have mastered the art of saying “That doesn’t work for me” (any people pleasers out there!?)
    * I am owning who I am, what I suck at, and what I am amazing at–and okay with it all
    * I accept that being fulfilled myself is one of the greatest offerings I can give to my child, husband, world and universe
    * I am practicing extreme self care–with no apologies about it

  9. Joyce Says:

A long, windy day – looks like February is going out like a lion – let’s hope March is a lamb!

Whole family coughing and coughing – but, we managed to make magic by….

    Drinking lots of teas

Eating warm, fresh bread with sweet butter – yum! I think when you’re sick calories don’t count?

    Movie day – several, yah-ness!

Hanging out tonight reading, computer browsing with cooking channel on.
We’re all in the same room, but doing our own thing…. Sweet & quiet!

    • Kate Says:

Joyce! How lovely to see your gravatar and put a beautiful face to your beautiful spirit! LOVE the warm bread magic…frankly, its making me drool!

  10. Mariposa Says:

Thank you for sharing your ME magic, Sparkle!

    MEM:
    *We’re all staying healthy!
*My son’s head laceration healed quickly!
*We got a new air purifier and it seems to be helping my allergies/asthma, not to mention the whooping cough!
*I feel like I can breathe again!
*The boys have been having a blast with their dad, and we’ve been enjoying the slower down time.
*We have gotten lots done this week!

  11. Karine Langley Says:

I feel good and feel myself for the first time in years I no longer strive to be someone or something else. I am semi retired and choose to work when I want. I enjoy my physicality and sensuality and take time to deeply accept and love who I am.

Result? Everything has improved, weight loss is easy, new contracts come my way…I have more time to do the things I enjoy. The key to happiness begins I think with a deep and profound acceptance of self, then an attitude of thankfulness. That alone can change the world.
