The Inspiration Fairies

Today we are celebrating!  Today is my (Mariposa’s) birthday!  I’ve never had a birthday party before, so my friends planned one for me.  People came over for dinner on Saturday night.  It’s now 2am on Sunday – my birthday – and we’re still awake and singing!  What a delightful start to a beautiful birthday!  We had a circle and celebrated what it is we like in each other and in ourselves.  What a magnificent way to celebrate, no?  We have been singing and laughing and sharing for hours, connecting in community.  It has been magical, fun, and enlightening.

What do you have to celebrate in your life?  Here are some of ours:

*Tom Kha Gai soup and the most gorgeous carrot cake ever!

*An incredible copper wire/antler/bead (and so much more!) sculpture made for the two of us!

*5 bottles of homemade wine and mead made by friends (to be enjoyed at our wedding this summer)!

*Babies and children playing happily!

*Singing the kids to sleep!

*My cheeks hurt from smiling so much!

*Interesting conversations with friends we don’t see often!

*A bunch of us adults reading a kids’ book out loud – it’s called Born with a Bang and it explains the story of the Universe in simple, spiritual terms and is gorgeously illustrated.
What are you celebrating in your life?  How are you doing it?  Here’s to a magical, celebratory week!

(Now off to bed…tee hee hee…)

Oh Mariposa, you SO DESERVE to be celebrated, Sister!! I LOVE that 2012 is the year of your 1st birthday party! What a beautiful celebration you had last night and I KNOW you’ll still be glowing from it this morning. HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Dear-Winged-One! :)

    My Magic
    * My 4 year old helping me put groceries away early this morning.

    * Home grocery delivery at 6:50am!

    * Everyone cuddled in bed this morning, including the doggie. Our kitty watched from the floor. It was wonderful having us all together in one bed giggling!

    * An “at-home-dinner-date” with my hubby last night in our Tap Room. We ate homemade lobster bisque and ceasar salad and drank dark beer while listening to good music. And baby sucked on a frozen sausage which kept him happy and occupied, lol!

    * We got a fence for our doggie last week so now we can all go outside in the yard together and play with her without a leash ~ we were all out there for an hour yesterday evening and everyone had so much fun! We ALL feel like we’re starting to break out of our cocoon…even our doggie! :)

    * Singing Happy Birthday to my Popsidoodles on the phone. I couldn’t talk too long as I was in the middle of bedtimes, but hubby talked to my parents and really enjoyed their conversation. I LOVE that my hubby LOVES my parents so much. :)

    * Looking forward to a bagel with veggie cream cheese soon!

    * My inner voice talking LOUD and CLEAR! And She’s so wise! I LOVE Her! ;)

    * Realizing again how my LOUD inner voice has completely taken over for the inner critic…now my inner critic NEVER gets a say. I’ll give it a hug, but NEVER a say. ;)

    * Raw milk with organic graham sticks ~ my hubby and I enjoyed a bedtime snack and it was sooooo good. :)

    * HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARIPOSA!!!!!!!!!!

What a wonderful event for you, Mariposa. Happy Birthday. <3

    MEM:

a shopping trip all by myself. I love Sunday morning shopping trips because that means I am child free and that is lovely.

2 1/2 hours working on flower blends. I'm super excited about a special one I made for a little girl named Sadie. Some of her flowers are really beautiful.

A yummy dinner that all of my family loved.

My 8 year old decided that he was going to play hide and seek with his 15 month old sister and 5 year old brother. It was so much fun to watch and listen to them play. The laughing patience he had when the 15 month old would leave a hiding place or squeal with laughter. So heart warming.
