Hey everyone, today’s the day! We’re kissing 2012 goodbye and embracing the mystery of 2013! I think we should reminisce on some of the best parts of this year in hopes to start next year with some positive vibes, then add a few goals. You down?
My Memorable Magic;
~ college acceptances; the beginning of 2012 was an exciting time for me because I found out that all my schools accepted me, and I recieved scholarships and honors program acknowledgements. These various events all made me more confident in my academic capabilities and helped push my further.
~ Monsters of Hip Hop conventions; my second convention was the beginning of 2012 and I just recently went to my third convention ~ these opportunities to let loose and learn have made me look at life totally differently. Through dancing with hundreds of people I’ve learned that we all have our own styles, and we can’t compare ourselves to everyone else.
~ my last dance recital; three dances and a request to be the Good Witch in the Oz production made my summer start off Spicy and exciting!
~ graduation, of course! It was beautiful to reflect on all the hard work my graduating class has been through, but it was even better acknowledging our bond at the end. When we went to the naval base after graduation (for project Grad) we spent 12 hours celebrating and simply being kids because we all knew that after that, we’d all be in the real world some way or another. That day was an emotional roller coaster, but I’m so grateful it happened.
~ tropical vacation with my girls! My mom, her best friend, and two of my best friends all went to Cancun for a much needed break. Massages on the beach, happy hour every hour, and tan lines were all we knew, and I really, really wish I was back in that moment right now.
~ CCSU the next day! After coming home from that lovely vacation, moving into school was a reality check. However, I was completely prepared and didn’t feel out of place whatsoever. This was exciting because I made new friends, adapted to a new environment, and began to discover a little more of myself every day.
~ my tattoo/hair experiments; I think every girl has a time when they desire rebellion, and freshman year might have been one of my moments. From red tips to total auburn, I’m still finding more of my identity. But my tat is the beginning artwork to my canvas, no doubt.
~ Cookies for Newtown! Cieara is my college best friend and like I recently shared, this was so monumental for me. Recently I’ve been entertaining myself with random acts of kindness here and there. It’s so fun! I will definitely keep doing this!
My 2013 Goals;
~ maintain my 3.64 gpa so I can get free tuition!
~ focus on my goals to eat healthy and stay fit.
~ try not to be so self-critical.
~ make new friends!
~ make people smile!
~ fueling my creativity through photography, writing, modeling, etc.
~ be more spontaneous and outgoing!
~ stay Spicy.
I think that about wraps it up for me! What made your 2012 beautiful, and what do you hope to make of 2013? Love to you!

We’ve been ill all over the holidays and I have been very grumpy the past couple days, time to accept, surrender and yes I think I would love to look back on all the JOY of 2012, thank you Spicy
Memorable Magic

~ Spending time with my friend who left too soons children over the summer, I love her and miss her but she lives on in them
I’m sure there is so much more, I expect I’ll come back
MEM

What a lovely reflection, the magic about your dear friends children moved me deeply. Happy New Years, beautiful!
Happy New Year’s Eve!
Let’s see, 2012……it’s been a good year, we found a preschool for ds that he loves, dd still loves her school, we did lots of camping over the summer, we received some generous help with the holidays, we are lucky to have fabulous family and friends, and we feel prepared for the fabulousness that 2013 holds for us!
2013 magic that is coming!
*the best job for me is arriving in january! i can feel it!
*dh has a fantastic job too!
*singing at bedtime to help the kids sleep.
*more art, more clear spaces, more clear time, more laughter, more joy, more peace, more running, more yoga.
*freedom in thought and feeling!
*more family time, more friend time!
*an abundance of good food.
*lots of camping and road trips!
Love your magic and reflections, Dear Spicy Sister! I’m making time for some quickie magic ~
* Yesterday our power went out for about 10 or so minutes. I was standing in the kitchen when it came back on and I was looking at the microwave come back to life with some strange symbols and then it said, I kid you not, “Good things, Good things” before it asked us to reset the clock. Isn’t that AMAZING! I was the only one who saw it and I don’t even think my family believes me, but it happened!
* A fun birthday party this morning for me and my boys!
* We have a party to go to in a couple of hours and hubby and I are finding it comical that a 7:30pm party is late for us and we’re already having trouble staying awake!
* Training our doggie to be the absolute best doggie in the world!
* A new magical year starts in just a few hours!
* Getting my yearly blog stats from wordpress yesterday and seeing that Carrie and Leah were the top two commenters! How appropriate that it’s the two of you who commented today!!
