Mardi Gras!

Hey y’all! Your Flirty Fairy has been SOOOOO super busy with my new twinnies that I have not been sharing my EM, and I miss it SO much! It’s amazing how wonderful it makes me feel. So when the Star Fairy asked me to post today, I jumped at the chance! Plus, it’s my Half Birthday :)

It’s so important, even when you’ve gotten away from a daily practice, to get back to it. Even if that just means jumping back in once in a while. I know what stops me sometimes is saying, well, if I only do it once that’s no good, so I might as well not do it at all – NOT true! A step forward is a step forward, even if it’s just a baby step. So here’s my BIG step (or flutter, for those of you wearing your wings).

My Everyday Magic:

  • My kitties waking me up by sitting on my chest and purring – have I mentioned I love them??
  • My sweetie, who made me DELICIOUS tacos for dinner the other night. OMG you guys, I think if I had unlimited tacos I’d eat them til I died.
  • My twinnie girls! They are SO sweet. And their parents are awesome!
  • ABUNDANCE!
  • Decluttering! We organized our 2nd bedroom (aka crap storage room) the other night and it was surprisingly quick and easy!
  • Looking forward to a relaxing weekend
  • The beautiful weather we’ve been having! After last winter, we deserve a mild one :)

Happy Wednesday!
I know it will be for me. My love and I just got back from a mini-road trip that was just amazing :)
So today will be full of rest and getting back into the groove.

Happy Wednesday!
Well life’s been pretty wonderful ~ I wish I could be more inspiring than that ;)
But.. IT JUST IS <3
I am happier than I was this time last year, so I actually get to enjoy the holiday season (I was looking forward to being scrooge again :p)

* christmas cookies for breakfast (I guess my post is late, but it’s morning where I am)
* feeling productive
* I found my creative purpose again ;) I look forward to developing it in the new year!
* a fun little hike my love and I went on yesterday!
* a magical, comfy Minute all to myself! (It’s so rare these days)

I really want those cookies now, so I will sign out ;)
Hope the day is more magical for ALL OF US & that we come back to share!

I can’t believe another Wed. has rolled around! Time seems to be moving more quickly than I remember ~ although it is a good reminder to cherish the present!

I’m a bit under the weather, so apologies for (yet another) late start! x)

* knowing it’s the 16th b/c payday was yesterday
* ^ first payday in a long while (so it was nice to get a check w/ my name on it)
* feeling sick, so sleeping early!
* shift not till late afternoon, so NO alarm needed to be set
* movie date w/ the boy :)
* finding that the last responses to my posts have come in 13′s (it’s the little things I swear)
* the sun is OUT (it’s cold, but still)
* looking forward to making a soup tongiht that reminds me of growing up and will surely cure what ails me <3

Happy Wednesday!

 
I’ve been m.i.a. from this site, and others, as I try to understand the hoops the universe has asked me to jump through…I apologize (to you & the universe) for the lack of responsibility, but am forever grateful for all the help I’ve received. My magic is Simple because, well, through the chaos it’s these things and moments that keep me sane :p
 
* patience, when a less experienced me would have been a mess in this situation
* still Waiting (gah!) but trying to enjoy the calm before the (happily anticipated) storm
* a great support of Sisters (we talk when we can and it’s soo worth the wait)
* an understanding Love ~ he’s been so great
* laughing and being silly (b/c what else is there really :P )
* realizing how much I’ve grown as reactions to/priorities in life have definitely changed for the better
[looking back at where I was (physically and mentally) this time last year has been interesting]
* accepting the rest of the learning curve
* feeling HAPPY (considering)
*challenging myself to Unplug and enjoy what’s “really” out there

“Just Being” Magic

I’m pleased to say I’m feeling better than when I posted this weekend’s “Even Though” magic. Acceptance of where I am is key ~ which is a lesson I keep learning over and over again! I stumbled across this quote that really speaks to me ~ maybe you’ll like it too:

” This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival; a joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and attend them all. Even if they’re  a crowd of sorrows…still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight.” ~ Rumi

I don’t know about you but I’m SO READY for some NEW DELIGHT and I’ve done enough clearing to welcome a whole house-full!!! Until then I’m going to try and do what Rumi suggests and welcome ALL the guests, honoring each and every one.

My Magic:

* My adorable baby’s crooked little smile and the croak he makes when he’s laughing. He’s such a gentle, peaceful soul and his eyes are utterly magic!

* My beloved hubby’s birthday yesterday ~ we made him a cake, got him balloons, and wrapped up some presents. A nice, quiet little celebration with our family of 5.

* The fact that my hubby is still my FAVORITE person to talk to after 13 years. I just love talking with him.

* My sweet babe took a 3 hour nap yesterday, which was also the rest I needed too.

* Feeling almost a fever pitch in relation to the New Energy ~ and wondering where it will take us!

Happy Monday everyone! I’m glad you came today, because I want to reflect on something really important ~ Time. When reflecting back on my magic, I’ve notice how I’m always talking about how great upcoming events will be, but really I should be appreciating my present. It’s great to be excited for the future, but the present makes your future so it’s just as important. What’s making your present wonderful? Here’s my list :)

Present Magic;
~ I’m currently really happy. Things feel right, and I’m really excited about everything!
~ today is Monday; the first day of spirit week (Hale-Ray Day!,) looking like a fool being all decked out for today, soccer double header in between dance classes tonight, etc!
~ my nails are painted a nice french mani, so that’s always nice :)
~ my mom is wonderfully patient with me, and we can always calmly talk about our issues. That’s probably the greatest thing both a mom AND a daughter could ask for!
~ my dad is so generous, even when he doesn’t have a job. He went out of his way learning a new cake recipe for my birthday! So sweet of him :)
~ my friends. I love everything about them, and I’m so lucky to have them in my lives.

Other Magic;
~ my photo shoot on Saturday gave me so much confidence. I felt so beautiful, and I think part of why I’m so happy now is because I feel great about myself. <3
~ being back in the gym routine :)
~ homecoming is this Friday! I was going to have a boy date, Cole, but he’s a chicken. I’m going to have just as much fun (if not more!) with my girls. ;)

After being home for a few days, I’m leaving again for the weekend. This time motivated by an interview w/ an added bonus of seeing my love and a bestie or two :)

* prospects of work (in this regard, these few months have been torturous.)
* QT with the people that “get me”
* racking up those Amtrak points!
* opening a book I owned and forgot to read.
* Staying TRUE to ME & the life I want.
