Good morning, magical folk! It’s Thursday again, so here I am! Did you know each day of the week is associated with a heavenly body? Well, Sunday is pretty obvious, and you might guess Monday is the Moon’s Day and Saturday is Saturn’s Day. Well, Thursday is Jupiter’s Day (named for the Norse god Thor, a thunder god like the Roman Jupiter). In astrology, Jupiter is the planet of expansion, travel, higher learning, philosophy and religion, optimism and opportunities. Those last two go together because when we feel optimistic, we are more open and more likely to notice the opportunities life sends our way. And counting our blessings, as we do here on My Everyday Magic, is a great way to stay optimistic and open to more blessings! So today, I invite you to keep your senses open and notice the gifts that are available to you if you just jump at the opportunities life is offering you.
MEM:
An opportunity I jumped at yesterday resulting in my hard working husband and I having an actual DATE tonight!!! (This is extremely rare). I heard about a great deal on tickets, I emailed dh to see if he was free, and without waiting for a reply checked with a friend to see if my 7yo could have a sleepover with her son, (and did this even though at the time my son was objecting). I kept moving toward what I wanted without waiting for anyone else’s approval or permission, and it all worked out in time for me to make the donation to the local collge radio station, and now everyone is happy with the arrangement and dh and I are off to see Arlo Guthrie tonight! Whoo-hoo!
Having electricity! It really is so very useful and wonderful in so many ways!
I vacuumed out the space behind the fridge and stove which dh moved when hooking up the cables from the generator, so it is much better now!
A beautiful sunset walk with the dog.
My overtired son falling asleep on his own last night while I did a couple things I needed to do downstairs. He was even under the blankets!
Playing on the internet last night, even if I did stay up too late.
What’s your magic today? Thank you for sharing your joys, both big and small, with all of us!
