(I figured I could get away with this picture again this week — after all, it’s not yet Ukranian Christmas – and besides, my tree is still up!)

Post-Holiday Magic! December 27, 2011
I have a confession to make – this year, I raced through the holidays. I just wanted them to be over. Not for any “hating the holidays” reason – actually, I love the Christmas season! But because I am so fired up about doing stuff for my business, and I felt like all this Christmas nonsense was keeping me from doing what I wanted to do. So, the downside is that I didn’t really enjoy the holiday lead-up, but the upside is that I’m not let down like I usually am on 12/26! Today, let’s see what there is to look forward to in the coming winter months… this is a first for me, usually I crawl into a hole and dread January, February, and March
~Going snow-tubing! ~Working on my business and growing it, growing it, growing it! ~ Holding my first workshop ~ Not being distracted by fun, nice weather activities and focusing on what I need to do ~ My best friend being home for another week!! ~ Curling up on the couch and not feeling guilty about it ~ Cuddling under the covers with my kitties and my sweetie ~ Maybe planning a warm weather vacay (oh come on, I can’t love winter TOO much!)
What’s your post-holiday magic?
My Everyday Magic 06.22.11 June 22, 2011
Wednesday Magic!
I feel like I’ve been neglecting this space! And it feels odd for it to have slipped my daily agenda.
But it feels sooo good to be back ~ & I mean that in more than one way.
* back from a glorious vacation with amazing friends.
* back from visiting old insecurities (& more magically, recognizing it and putting it away)
* back to the hustle of following dreams
* receiving new advice (for love and career opportunities) thus refreshing possibilities
* my mom & i cleansing our space and minds.
* just feeling REALLY REALLY GOOD about everything. [I could complain (not everything is in order), but I feel no need to - I live by my standard and things are falling into place

Replenishment Magic 4/19/11 April 19, 2011
My Everyday Replenishment Magic
Hey everyone! Hope you all are having a magical day as always! I adore replenishment, and when I am “on my game” I make time for replenishment every single day. I think the things that replenish me are the things that appear most often on my everyday magic posts. It is so important to feel that sense of completion combined with recovery/rest and then feeling yourself essentially “come back to life” by recommitting to yourself each day. I can’t say enough about how magical replenishment is in my life! So what kind of things replenish you? We all have our favorites! Here are mine:
*************************************************
*A nice long, warm & cleansing shower at the end of the day (or an invigorating cool one in the morning! I love my tea tree shampoo in the morning, it wakes up my entire scalp, lol!)
*Rest, intentional “boredom”…just sitting, purposefully doing “nothing”
*Nourishing food, and taking the time to enjoy it thoroughly. I love creating rituals around food! I feel good when give thanks before eating, and really FEEL the food moving through my body and filling every cell with nourishing goodness!!
*FUN! Any kind of play (especially when music and dance are involved) replenishes me. Sometimes I really have to remind myself to just take off the “serious mask,” let loose and be silly! And us faeries ADORE a good session of mischievous and ridiculous fun!
*Writing. Nothing brings me more clarity than writing about what’s going on in my life, where I am, what I am grateful for, every little accomplishment that I get to cheer myself on for, my dreams and desires, and getting focused on what conscious actions to take in my life. And clarity has got to be the most replenishing feeling ever!
*Being in Nature. Sitting outside on my doorstep, being at the beach, walking in a woodsy area, playing at the park, basking in the sunshine, all of these things (and more!) bring me replenishment.
There is more, but I’ll leave it at that for now! I’d love to hear more about what replenishes you and brings more magic into your life. Share in the comments below and feel the magic grow! Love you all!
Replenish Yourself Magic 11/11/10 November 11, 2010
Replenish Yourself Magic!
Lately I’ve been given a lot of guidance and reminders from Spirit, friends and family to slow down and take care of myself. To nurture my body, mind and spirit. To stop and appreciate this very moment of being in my body. I often times keep running and running until my body breaks down and forces me to stop and listen. I’m now recognizing that I deserve breaks, to treat myself well!!! So today I celebrate all those things we do for ourselves JUST BECAUSE IT MAKES US FEEL GOOD! This is the time to ditch the “have to’s” and do what makes you jump for joy! What are you doing to replenish yourself? What are ideas you have in your mind for the near future?
*Rubbing oil on my growing belly!
*Holding hot stones (heated on our wood stove) on my chest to help with my chronic cold!
*Hot water bottles!
*Wearing clothes that make me feel beautiful and comfortable!
*Taking out the time to knit!
*Eating very healthy food and drinking lots of water!
*Drinking tea daily as a relaxing part of my day!
*Accepting the mini-massages that friends give me throughout the day! Since I shifted into *receiving* mode, I’ve been surprised at the number of people who just come up to me and give me a quick massage! I’m attracting massages all the time now!
*Asking for help when I need it!
*Spending several hours each day with friends!
*Walks on the beach!
*Stretching!
*Hot baths!
*Playing games with my two sons!
*Reading beautiful craft blogs!
*Listening to uplifting music!
*Creating ritual and planning holiday traditions!
*Slowing down to talk (and listen!) to the baby!
*Volunteering at my son’s school!
*Sleeping in!
One thing I’d like to do is read more. It slows me down and brings me into the present moment, which is always nourishing to me.
What are you doing to take care of yourself? What new practices would you like to implement in your life? Remember, you are beautiful and radiant and the world wouldn’t be the same without you! Take care of yourself because YOU DESERVE IT!!!!! I love you!
“Replenish Yourself” Magic 9/28/10 September 28, 2010
Replenish Yourself!
When we take the time to fully replenish ourselves, we have more to give to others. And for some, giving to others (willingly, enthusiastically, joyfully) is a way of replenishing themselves. Only you know what truly replenishes you. And you deserve it, in fact you owe it to yourself (and the world!) to replenish yourself!
My Everyday Magic
*Come follow me in my journey on World Pulse
*My son is sick, and it has been turning the last few days into craziness. The blessing? It’s forced me to slow down when it would be the last thing I would think of doing.
*Trusting that all is well, even if I did miss a class (a a quiz) today.
*Having time to do a long writing assignment while at home with my little boy. He’s been on and off just sleeping, so its actually been quite restful!
*Trusting that the universe has some kind of plan for me budget-wise, since I’ve been missing a lot of work lately either because of school, or sick kids!
*Taking time to just be ME, and to replenish myself in my own unique way… because I refuse to catch whatever bug is going around!
*Praying that my body bypasses whatever bug is going around.
*Praying that the universe be gentle with me…I’m feeling very vulnerable lately…
*Tuning in and paying attention…to images, feelings, other people’s body language, thoughts, art, nature… a distanced hyper-awareness…or something, lol
*Getting compliments on art-related things lately (and why I was inspired to post with a photo of one of my favorite paintings that I’ve done…)
*Letting go of what doesn’t serve the higher good…and trusting that some things work themselves out on their own
*Seeing the good in others =)
*Seeing the good in me.
What’s putting a smile on your face? What is making life worthwhile? Share your everyday magic, and feel the infiniteness of it all…because the more you look for it, the more you find it…the more you find it, the more you wanna keep looking! Its the best addiction ever (and probably the most beneficial)!
My Everyday “Replenish Yourself” Magic 8/24/10 August 24, 2010
“Replenish Yourself”
It seems many of us have been experiencing intense energy cycles, and I am feeling a critical turning point with the Pisces full moon. I for one am releasing guilt about taking care of myself (because other areas have been neglected instead), because I trust my intuition that sometimes what feels like me just being lazy, is really my body’s taking over in its knowing of what is needed most: Rest.
To replenish myself I will be:
*Giving some love to my house this evening…which has been put on the backburner and now is a space that I’m uncomfortable in. I will give it a good cleansing!
*Taking my time with my interactions. Not rushing when I run errands, taking the time to make eye contact with others, smile more, and breathe life in.
*Joyfully choosing foods that I know make my body feel awesome, while honoring my cycles in tune with mother nature’s rhythms and seasons.
*Nourishing my soul with prayer, positive expectation and hope, faith that all is well, and a deep unbreakable love for myself and the world around me.
*Taking advantage of this mercury retrograde to reflect, review, rewind, relax, restore and REPLENISH.
My everyday magic
*I LOVE my classes, I LOVE school and being around people while learning.
*I have been writing a LOT and LOVING it.
*We have disconnected at home…TV free, no computer time while at home (unless absolutely necessary), and really no phone either… just a reconnection between me and my boys, our dinner time, shower time, and reading time. They play with blocks while I go through my schoolwork stuff.
*I’m grateful for all the rainy weather. I truly adore it. I’m worried about my compost though… but I’m trusting all is well, even if it isn’t. LOL
*Simplifying! This is part of replenishing myself…I’m releasing some energy ties in my life that are creating an imbalance in the chaos/stability of my life.
What kinds of things do you do to replenish yourself? What made you smile today? Come share your pieces of magic that help to create the infinite magical world we live in! While I am replenishing myself, I will also hold everyone in a peaceful, loving and healing light!
Replenish Yourself: The art of healing 6/24/2010 June 24, 2010
Replenish Yourself Magic
The Song Fairy here, “standing in” for the Butterfly Faery who is off on an exciting adventure, which she will share with us soon! Stay tuned for that—it will be wonderful!
I have been working hard on getting my strength back and healing from a bad case of nose-throat-chest ailments. Discomfort, stress, and a drastic depletion of energy oblige one to stop everything and focus!
With long periods to lie in bed contemplating what my body is going through, here is how I play a part in the healing process:
1. By praising, blessing, and giving thanks for my body and its awesome healing powers;
2. by acknowledging, praising, blessing, and giving thanks for the Source of these healing powers;
3. by blessing the part of my body that hurts, and then turning my attention to all the body parts that feel good and appreciating all of those;
4. by having a respite from talking!
5. by re-visiting classic prayers from childhood mixed with vibrant new affirmations!
My everyday respiratory healing magic:
* Fresh ginger and lemon and honey tea *Highlands homeopathic formula: Sinus Health * “Neti Pot” for saline nasal cleansing * Pure cranberry juice diluted with good water * Dh’s tender loving attention, including his shoulder rubs! <3
Do you have a favorite healing/comfort tip to share today? Please post them in comments below.
Strong, vibrant, radiant healing energy going out to one and all,
The Song Fairy <3
