I’ve mentioned this past week how I’ve been spreading my wings and busting out of my comfort zone (which is really just a nice term for a “rut”). And I’ve been taking my family along with me. It hasn’t been initially easy ~ some fights, whining, negotiations have taken place, but I know it’s just because humans are innately resistant to change…even if it’s GREAT for them. Today I’m taking a MUCH-NEEDED 1/2 day off… okay it’s only 4 hours. But 4 hours in this family is a big deal right now. Hubby has never been in charge of the THREE boys for longer than 90 minutes or so. And baby has never not nursed for that long. But I need to find a new way to be in my family. A way where everyone learns to be less dependent on me and more dependent on themselves. Will this happen in 4 hours? I really believe it will! I trust that in 4 hours my family will find ways of “figuring it out” that doesn’t have anything to do with me and perhaps new levels of teamwork and POWER will emerge. And damn! I can’t WAIT to have some time to myself to quietly think, run, and shop! ; ) So onwards and upwards…even if it’s scary!
Are there ways you are breaking out of your comfort zone? Or ways that you want to?
My Magic
* I’m LEAVING in 90 minutes!!!
* Finding it HILARIOUS that as I try to negotiate 4 hours, 2 of my dearest friends are leaving their families ALL DAY and OVER NIGHT! (My higher self told me that the jump from 4 hours to all day is NOT that far at all. Something to look forward to!
)
* Pizza for dinner last night!
* A fun time at Walmart (yes, WALMART!) yesterday with my boys.
* GREAT conversations with my beloved hubby last night and realizations that blew my mind!
* Being in a great place with hubby all week after some initial resistance to my time away.
* Shaking off a bad night’s sleep easily and effortlessly.
* I’m leaving in 88 minutes!!!
Happy Saturday! I love you! Stretch yourself!
