Today we celebrate the power of the word “YES!”. So much of our lives as humans is on auto-pilot. We wake up, make meals, get the kids to school, run errands, work, study, sleep, clean, eat…We often believe we don’t have enough time to do anything outside this routine. Or maybe we feel stuck in a life that isn’t ours. If you take a moment to pause and reflect, you will see that Life gives us many opportunities to step outside our box, our routines, and DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT! Perhaps your kids ask you to play a game with them when you are in the middle of a thousand other tasks. Or a friend invites you to do something you’ve never done before. Or your intuition tells you to do one thing, but your brain talks you out of it. Opportunities abound! How often do you say “YES”? What would happen if you did?
Two years ago we made a conscious decision to say “yes” to every opportunity offered to us while we were at Fairy Congress. If someone asked if we wanted to do a coloring project in the kids area, or help make meals, or go for a walk, we said yes. On Saturday night we were resting in our tent and got this sense of a huge presence surrounding us. It was almost tangible – the energy was so big. Instead of ignoring it (or freaking out), we literally said out loud, “Welcome! Come join us! WE SAY YES!!!”. Our amazing, magical daughter was conceived the next day. :) Since then we have made a point to say yes more often. And you know what? Amazing things usually happen when we do!
The Universe is constantly providing us opportunities to move us towards our highest goals. The meaning of life is to live it! How much of life are you missing – maybe you think you are too busy, or are afraid of stepping outside your comfort zone? What would life be like if you said “YES” to every opportunity and request for ONE DAY? What about ONE WEEK? We (the Inspiration Fairies) are going to take on that challenge this week. We will say “yes” every opportunity that we can. We will stretch ourselves – to grow and learn, to try something new, to open ourselves to potential. We welcome others to join us in this experiment!
Of course, no one can say yes all the time. It’s unrealistic, and can pose its own challenges. But could you say “yes” more often than you do? What might change if you allowed yourself to step outside your own limiting box? Whom might you connect with in a more heartfelt way? What unknown talents might you discover in yourself? What fun places might you see? What might alter your life in an exciting new way?

*Seeing the many challenges that came up this week easily resolve themselves!
