As I sit here about to write my magic for the day, I have been joined by several different dragonflies! Dragonflies are my very most favorite of all the magical creatures! I am honoured that they have joined me today as I sit here and share my magic with you.

My Everyday Magic

* Noticing the night shortening the amount of light in the day.

* Eating a bag of Bing cherries and typing; smiling at the smudges of crimson on the keyboard.

* Thieves oil freshening up the dampness from all this rain.

* My baby entertaining herself. Watching her little hands clasp and unclasp and the funny way she goes cross eyed when she puts them out in front of her.

* Conversations at bedtime. Laying on mermaid sheets with my almost 3yr old sharing our day together discussing all that made us happy and all the things that made us sad and how we can make those things happy.

* My mom’s Chicken Tinola. Magic by the spoons full. Seriously!

“Wildest Dreams” Magic!

I’ve heard from many loved sources that a group as small as twelve people, all envisioning the same thing, can truly make miracles happen! So, let’s give it a try! Take a moment and think about what your absolute WILDEST dreams would look like! It doesn’t have to be rational or logical ~ in fact, it’s probably better if it’s not.   Share them here, and then let’s all take a moment to focus on each dream from each poster and envisioning it happening ~ if any group of people can change the world, I believe this magical community can! And as some wise person said (can’t remember who? Richard Bach, maybe?): “You are never given a dream without also being given the tools to make it happen.” So, let’s dream on and make it all come true!

My Wildest Dreams

* Somehow (and soon!) my family becomes the recipients of millions and even billions of dollars!

* With this money we will turn our house completely green and self-sustainable and pay all our mortgage and other debt in one fell swoop!

* We’ll turn a good part of our town into a Green Land Trust  ~ where all homes are self-sustainable and have family gardens. Then we’ll move all our family down here near us and provide homes for them, our friends, and any other resident that desires to live in harmony with the Earth!

* Our town turns into one that vibrates to a higher energy. Everyone knows their neighbors, everyone works and plays together. It’s a family friendly town that celebrates childhood. All the stores and restaurants reflect a harmony and balance between people and our planet. And we party all the time!!!

* And the best part about having all this money? We’ll use it all to make everything self-sustainable so that no one needs money anymore! Why not?!

My Everyday Magic

* A fun birthday party at Chatfield Hollow yesterday with our wonderful homeschool playgroup!

* The Holistic Mom’s Network Open House last night, where I met many wonderful women and got a fantastic free massage!

* My little boys telling me over and over that they love me!

* My dear husband, who is in a funk today, but always comes through with flying colors. I love you, Rabbit.

* Not having to pay to get into beaches or State Parks because everyone is back to school or work!

* Not being back to school or work! (I’m not gloating, I’m just feeling blessed!)

* Believing that my wildest dreams will ABSOLUTELY come true ~ and truly letting of the “how” of it all!

* Believing that ALL the dreams posted today can ABSOLUTELY come true!!!!

* Defying logic!!!

“Happy Vision” Magic!

What do you envision? What we see in front of us is not always what we envision. We can all “see” the same thing, yet we each envision that thing uniquely. We have the power, through images (also known as thoughts!) to envision the world as we would love to have it. If we don’t take the time to envision what we truly want, and FEEL it real, whatever prominent images we have in our lives will simply manifest by default. SO lets take the time to envision what we WANT to see and feel and call our world!

I envision…

*My home as a simple, comfortable, earth-friendly and life-friendly place that my family can retreat to regularly, our safe haven to eat, relax, sleep, reflect…

*My days spent with enjoyment and fulfillment, as I follow my intuition and let my heart full of love guide me in as many moments as I can be conscious about!

*Learning across the continuum! My family and I, and everyone around me, trusting that we are always learning exactly what we need to be learning, and if we feel differently, then to follow that gut feeling and push ourselves out of our comfort zone and expand our horizons!

*Living in communion with nature; respecting, cultivating, communicating with, and loving the plants around us, taking the time to rebuild plant communities that celebrate a diverse ecology that supports our own sustainability.

*Families celebrating food and life together, sharing the workload of cultivation and food preparation, and enjoying the blissful consumption of the fruits of our labor, full of organic goodness and all the love poured into cultivation and preparation. Community!

*More on community! Because our “work” is simply to self-sustain ourselves and enjoy life, and because we all share in a cooperative effort to take care of ourselves and each other, we have lots of time for games, sports, leisure, music, arts, and the enjoyment of nature around us…and for many of us, these enjoyment activities ARE our work.

*Life FULL of art and music…visual and auditory beauty captured in nature, by nature…

*The “NEWS” only presents the good that we are doing in the world, and not to discount the stark contrast that others’ may be experiencing…we also celebrate what good comes of those situations and what people are doing to move through those contrasts.

*Our visual culture accumulates such an array of positive, inspirational, motivation images that propel us through life each day with a trust that all is well, and the inspiration to celebrate our lives with hope and zealousness.

My envisioning mentioned here is quite broad across the spectrum of life, perhaps you have more specific envisioning, perhaps how you envision a particular event or day, or even certain people in your life, the way we relate to each other (I feel this is so important, especially with Saturn in Libra over these next two years!), and more! Maybe you have visions of our future past the time of the existing institutions, when we’ve moved through to higher vibrations of existence? Please share some of your “happy visions!”

*The awesome wet n wild birthday party for my boy who turned 5 this weekend! He had so much fun, and has said so for the last couple days. Makes a mama’s heart sing!

*Friends and family…I am truly grateful!

*Money appearing… I had $3 to my name and not a penny more, and I just trusted that the universe would provide somehow… and it did! I got extra tip money at work, and someone gave me “mama’s birthday money” this weekend at my boys b-day party!

*Infinite magic! Its everywhere and everywhere in between and beyond!!

The Song Fairy!

Musical Mondays!

What a treat yesterday to read all about the “FREE LOVE MAGIC” from the Sparkle Fairy!!! Everyday we see more magic—especially when we’re looking for it!!! Kate keeps “raising the bar” with open arms and a heart-full of joy!!! <3

A few days ago I mentioned a special retreat that Dh and I got invited to: a “Tree House Resort” weekend! I came back with bruises and bumps from attempting some of the rope swings, zip rides, and steep ladders to sleep in cozy lofts—-and it was all worth it! One of the highlights: sitting around the campfire after dinner passing guitars around and hearing a wide spectrum of musical offerings from all ages. Two of the youngest, girls aged 8 and 9, wowed all of us with numbers from “Annie”.

Big thanks to those who clicked on the link I shared last Monday and wrote a short and sweet review for my newest children’s music CD! Oh! Here it is again! You can read them and listen to samples! http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/LisaMonet It means a lot to indie musicians to have these reviews—it lends a lot of credibility and really makes a difference. Feel free to add your review if you haven’t yet!

I promised drawings for free CDs to those who posted last Monday, those who wrote reviews that day, and then those who wrote reviews after my post on a subsequent day—Whew! The CDs go out as soon as the winners let me know which title they’d like and tell me where to send it!!! Congratulations to: Carrie, Dawn and Michelle!! And sincere thanks to all who participated!!

BTW, the drawings were conducted with guidance from the fairies and the sweet fingers of the child who drew the names. <3 Having fun with this “game”, I was impressed once again with the powerful energy of actions and rituals done with mindfulness and reverence. Life is so Good, available to each of us in all its abundance and joy!

I encourage each of you, dear readers, to keep up or seek out and find any sacred act that is meaningful to you, be it prayer, circle sharing, card-reading, meditation, chanting, affirmations…. and to keep the faith, keep believing in all that is good and true and wonderful! Thoughts are things! Allow only thoughts of a creative nature into the rich garden of your mind. <3

Free Love Magic!

These are a couple of pictures from our Very-Fairy-Friday (more to come soon!). I’m finding it difficult to put into words the magic of this day. Giving away Free Flowers is something I do a lot and is very dear to my heart. Giving away Free Lemonade was also a joy (and little did anyone know I blessed it with the affirmation “May anyone who drinks this experience abundance and joy!” ). My most favorite part of the day, however, was giving away Free Hugs as I walked down Main Street with my fleet of fairies! Perhaps the Bliss Fairy can relate as I tally up the highlights of this wonderful experience. Reading her post of when she did this in Guam made me feel joyfully anticipate doing it as well in my little town of Essex, CT. And it really has changed me in ways I can’t express. It’s made me think that perhaps something as simple as FREE HUGS can transform a person, a perspective, and maybe even a whole town.

FREE HUGS Highlights!

* The people who said “This makes my day!”

* The people who very somberly and seriously said “I could use a hug.”

* The people who waved at us from their cars.

* Hugging Ray, the UPS driver, in the middle of the street while people in their cars patiently waited and witnessed the spectacle with big smiles on their faces.

* Hugging a very chic (and delighted) French couple and maybe giving them a different perspective of America (or at least Connecticut!).

* Having teenage girls and boys readily accept a hug, because even they know no one is too cool for free love.

* The little children who eagerly hugged back thinking there was nothing out of the ordinary about hugging strange fairies!

* Having Tom come out from behind the counter at the Post Office for a free hug and then he returned the love by giving the children some free stickers.

* Hugging a handsome cyclist who happened to be my husband, stopping by to cheer on his winged-wife.

* The people who said “No thank you” to hugs but received them anyway (because that’s just who I am!) and smiled in spite of themselves. I think perhaps this was my favorite kind of hug to give ~ not because I was “forcing” it on them, but more because I felt like I was ENGULFING them and SWEEPING them away with me to some place brighter. I think the people who say “No” to hugs probably need them most of all.

That night I laid awake still buzzing from the magic, when something occurred to me ~ although my FREE HUGS sign at first glance appears to be an offer, perhaps it could have also been viewed as a request. After all, I benefited from it more than anyone else…because I got the most hugs of all.

* A really fun and magical visit with The Butterfly Faery and her boys.

* An incredibly fun day at the fair with our friends that went much, MUCH longer than we ever anticipated!

The Flower Faerie!

Sacred Saturdays!

Welcome to Sacred Saturday! I hope you all had a beautiful week and are getting ready to unwind, as I am, on this lovely day. This week was full of unexpected twists and turns for me which make it all the more important to pay attention to the small things. It also means that the business of centering and focusing myself is essential, so I’m grateful for this sacred day!

My hope is that we can all list something (or several somethings!) that we can do to make a sacred space today. For today I will:
~sit in stillness for 10 minutes with a quiet mind
~bless everyone I come into contact with.
~check in at regular intervals to make sure I am aligned and be at peace with my authentic self.

My Everyday Magic:
~having to miss a FABULOUS day yesterday in order to be present a birth ( a most sacred event!)
~knowing that even in my absence my sisters did a fabulous job!
~looking forward to another gathering-one that I will be able to attend!
~a great seminar today.
~getting a phone call late last night to find out that my ds is going to be on his best friend’s soccer team!
~the advent of the school year.
~everything coming together exactly as it should!

Welcome to Fabulous Faerie Friday!!!

What could be more fabulous than Fabulous Faeries Frolicking today?  The Sparkle Fairy, Flower Faery and Butterfly Faery are going to be out in full fabulous faerie force today in Essex…so look for them and their magic!!!

Today, according to my calendar, is Global Forgiveness Day.  If you are like me, the person I am always most in need of forgiving is myself.

My Magic today is going to include forgiving myself and loving myself so I will be able to spread love magic to others too.

A Magical Message for tomorrow’s Very Fairy Friday…

My dearest Winged Sisters,

My Everyday Magic!

*MEM 1 year and 1 day old today. WooHoo!!!

*Another afternoon with just the baby and I

*Slowing down, nurturing my family, treating our afflictions with some good old-fashioned TLC

*Snuggling with an infant. I am addicted to her smiles and cuddly baby scent.

*Nursing baby in bed with a rain storm outside the bedroom window, blanketing us in an ambience of intimate serenity

*That grayish glow peering through my blinds draping my home in stormy magic

*The domestic meditative Zen of folding clothes and clearing clutter

*Daydreaming in the tranquility of an almost empty house

*That proud feeling I get every time I’ve opened up my fridge and pantry today; seeing them full and stocked. Weather or not I get to making dinner every night I am satisfied in the fact that I am no longer limited to what little was available in the cooler and cupboards. Culinary creativity abounds!

*Walking out to the Garden to pick some fresh herbs

*The healing flavors and soothing auroras of my mama’s Mint Chicken & Bean thread Soup

*Feeling infinitely blissed in all my blessings

*Grateful for this day and the simply joys I am finding in it

*Reflecting on my home and the gorgeousness that is Guam

*Working with the retrograde… taking this time to release, relax, and receive

It all started one year ago today! I dug up the very first post and it was so wonderful to see many of the same names that are still posting today! In honor of our anniversary, I’m naming all the things I’m grateful for in the past year!

A Year of Gratitude

* I’m grateful for all the Fairies who’ve joined me on this magical journey! Thank you so much!

* I’m grateful that My Everyday Magic birthed The Grandpa Fairy and has given my relationship with my father a whole new dimension.

* I’m grateful for all the posters here and all the magic they share. I’ve read every single word over the past year and it ALWAYS raises my vibe!

* I’m grateful for all the readers who don’t post regularly, but still share their wonderful energy (and you know who you are!)

* I’m grateful for all the Sparkle Missions and the people who’ve joined me in these life-changing practices!

* I’m grateful that this reluctant fairy found the courage to become The Sparkle Fairy! And I’m grateful that I still have the courage to do this one year later even though it is STILL out of my comfort zone!

* I’m sooooooo grateful for how the CT Shoreline has embraced their resident Fairy! This has been utterly magical to me!

My Everyday Magic

* Laughing at myself because as I’m writing all this “gratitude” I’m also snapping at my children “don’t bother me, I’m busy!” (I’m thinking Sparkle Mission #5 will have to do with “Imperfect Parenting”!)

* Taking deep breaths and knowing I’ll get all that I need to get done today…and reminding myself to do this anytime I start to feel rushed, stressed, and impatient…..like NOW! (Inhaling….exhaling….repeating…)

* I’m grateful for my dust buster and Bounty paper towels that helped me clean up the grape juice and cheerios that got spilled all over the floor while I was writing all this!

* Today is Field Trip day for Papa and Boys so I can run my errands by myself AND think at the same time!

* I have a date with my dearest beloved tonight!

* Stretching myself and giving away $100 today always knowing that the Universe brings it back to me!!

* The Butterfly Faery is coming to stay with me tomorrow (and I KNOW I’ll find time to clean her room between all the spills, errands, and deep-breathing! )

* A Very-Fairy-Friday in two days!!!! I have 10 Mama-Fairies and 20+ Children helping me spread the magic down Main Street Essex!!! Whoo-hoo!!
