What is The Magic Movement? It’s how the Fairies and readers of My Everyday Magic are changing the world! It’s many ideas, big and small, that spread cheer, joy, and positivity!

‘There are MANY ways to join in The Magic Movement! (Wings optional.) 
1.) Meet My Neighbors
Do you know your neighbors? All of them? I can safely say that I DO NOT! And I’ve been living on my street for almost 3 years!
Well, it’s time to change that! Armed with homemade baked goodies and my wings I’ve been traipsing down my street to finally make friends with the people living right beside me!

2.) Sparkle a Stranger
Sparkling a Stranger involves doing something nice and unexpected for someone you don’t know.
I’ve paid for the car behind me in a drive-thru, bought an acquaintance dinner, paid for rounds of drinks, and given a bouquet of flowers to a cashier among many other fun things! Sparkling a Stranger is awesome because it makes your day AND theirs ~ it’s a total win-win that fosters so much more magic!
3.) Community Magic
This includes Fairy-Walkabouts where I hand out My Everyday Magic calling cards to adults and stickers to children. On Valentine’s Day I passed out 2 dozen roses to people on my local Main Street. On Easter I handed out 24 plastic eggs filled with candy. I do this when I feel moved, and it’s always so much FUN!

4.) Random Acts of MAGIC! This is ANYTHING MAGICAL that doesn’t fit into the above categories! Have YOU done something nice for someone lately?

All the Fairies are brainstorming other ways of bringing MAGIC into the community ~ and there are some FUN ideas in the works! We’ll take pictures (and maybe even video) so you can witness it!

* Inviting the only mother not part of our playgroup at the playground yesterday to join our group. We made a new friend!

*watching JacAlan completely in his element during his sing and dance class
* Helped someone locate a item on the grocery store shelf while engaging in very pleasant talk.
Stopped traffic to let a pedestrian cross the street!

Great concept! Somehow I’m not surprised that you’ve done something like this and commend you for YOUR act of kindness.
I always loved fairies as a child and even made houses for them out of cardboard boxes, complete with little furniture!
Too bad, as adults, we lose some of that fantasy in our lives. Looks like you have recaptured yours. 
I hope you are constructing a winter version of your costume soon… it will too cold for that one soon!

“Have a Sparkling Day” in the Shoreline Times caught my attention and I sat back to reflect on today. hmmm…. did I do something nice? Did someone do something nice for me? And then I remembered— I was at a store waiting patiently in line and out of the blue this nice lady smiled and gave me two coupons. How nice is that? I thought very!
